A walking journey through the desert, suitable for anyone in good physical shape — no special training or athletic background required. Each day covers 20–25 km on foot. At night, we stay in specially set-up camps, enjoy freshly prepared meals by our camp chef, and experience complete immersion in nature.

Why the Desert?
For centuries, deserts have been places of retreat for great thinkers, rulers, and artists — spaces of silence and stillness where one can clear the mind and make room for new ideas, decisions, and actions. Both mystics and worldly figures have sought the desert’s transformative power.
Art collector Shchukin crossed the Sinai Desert after his wife’s death and found his way back to life. The desert inspired Antoine de Saint-Exupéry to write The Little Prince and Paulo Coelho to create The Alchemist.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
  • Light & Easy Walking
We’ll walk through the desert with light daypacks. Camp gear is transported by jeeps, and water or backpacks can be loaded onto camels at any time during the hike. These “ships of the desert” can also carry anyone who gets too tired along the way.
  • Meeting Yourself
Throughout the journey, we’ll practice meditation and symbolically leave behind what no longer serves us. Evenings bring dancing under the moon, conversations around the fire, encounters with Bedouin culture and shamanic traditions — and plenty of celebration of life and self-discovery.
  • The Nomadic Spirit
Every day, camp is set up for us in a secluded and scenic location. Despite the expedition setting, all essential comforts are provided. Meals feature traditional Bedouin dishes cooked over an open fire.
  • Hiking Through the Sands
Each day involves 5–6 hours of hiking. We start early, after morning exercise and breakfast, walk until midday, then rest during the hottest hours before returning to camp.
  • Together Yet Alone
At night, everyone sleeps in their own tent, enjoying solitude under the desert sky. During the day, we travel as a group of like-minded souls — fellow romantics drawn to the magic of the desert.
  • Connection & Safety
There’s no mobile signal along the route — you won’t be able to receive messages or calls during the trek. For emergencies, the guide carries a satellite phone. A support team in jeeps and two camel guides accompany us throughout the journey to ensure safety and comfort.
  • Meals on the Route
Expect fresh, wholesome Bedouin cuisine. Breakfast and dinner in camp are always hot meals; lunch during the hike is a cold picnic, but there’s always hot tea and coffee available. The menu includes vegetables, fruits, meat, poultry, fish, baba ganoush, local legume-based appetizers, and delicious dates. Drinking water is always abundant and planned with a large reserve.
  • Perceived Dangers
Yes, there are snakes and scorpions in the desert, but during the safety briefing you’ll learn simple rules that make the journey completely safe and enjoyable.
